The symposium is the conclusion of the research project REMEDIATE, which was set up by the Merz Akademie, University of Art, Design and Media and the Akademie Schloss Solitude in cooperation with the MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg and the Landesanstalt für Kommunikation (LFK). The goal of the three-year research work is to examine the historical changes that the cultural techniques of film and television are experiencing in combination with new media.
