Joachim Herter betreut die Siebdruckwerkstatt, die auch Teil des Rundgangs sein wird.
We will present the Merz Akademie in an introductory talk (6 p.m.) and show current projects of the students. The following tour of the Greenbox, Virtual Reality Lab, sound studio, screen printing and photo studio will provide a comprehensive insight into the daily work of the Merz Akademie.
In all four fields of study at the Merz Akademie, both general and discipline-specific media design skills are taught. The university’s excellent technical equipment enables professional work in the various workshops, and the small groups guarantee individual support for each student.
Registration is not required for individuals.
The main focus of teaching is the examination of aesthetic, cultural and scientific contents. The aim of this combination of theory and practice is to train students as authors who communicate via a wide variety of media designed by them. After the seven-semester program, the graduates will not only have design skills, but also content skills. Thus, they are optimally qualified for their professional future in the field of media design and communication.
The lecture takes place in room E.3, ground floor.
