Semiha Degirmenci

Our student Semiha Degirmenci has received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation for students in the subjects of design / design / film. Congratulations! Semiha was nominated by the Merz Akademie and Prof. Anja Weber and prevailed in the selection process against other applicants.

Free from political, religious and ideological dictates, the Studienstiftung supports particularly gifted students and doctoral candidates who distinguish themselves by their high performance, broad interests, tolerant personality and social responsibility. The Studienstiftung’s statutory mission is to promote “the higher education of young people whose high academic or artistic talent and personality give rise to expectations of special achievements in the service of the general public.” The Studienstiftung was founded in Dresden in 1925, dissolved in 1934 and re-established as a registered association in Cologne in 1948.
