Making It Visible: Figure & Ground – From Imaginaries to the Living City
A science–art collaboration with the Zukunftskolleg at the University of Konstanz
This interdisciplinary project explores how streets embody changing ideas about cities, from post-war car-centred planning to today’s efforts to reclaim roads as public spaces. Using urban research, artistic practice and public participation, participants investigate the often-invisible systems and ideologies that shape everyday urban life. Through collaborative, creative formats, they make these hidden structures visible while imagining more human, inclusive, and liveable cities.
