Welcome to the Merz Akademie! We are pleased to welcome students from our partner universities: Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, India, Willem de Kooning Academy, Netherlands, University Beira Interior, Portugal, Taipei National University of the Arts, Taiwan, and Hongik University, South Korea.

The Merz Akademie is constantly expanding its partnerships with universities in (non)European countries. So far, Merz Akademie students can spend a semester abroad at more than 20 partner universities. Likewise, students from the partner universities can spend their semester abroad at the Merz Akademie.

In the winter semester of 2022/23, three Merz Akademie students are taking advantage of the opportunity to gain experience abroad: Master’s student Furkan Dönmezer is on an Erasmus+ scholarship for an exchange semester in Denmark at the Royal Danish Art Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen. Bachelor student Veit Engelbrecht also receives an Erasmus+ scholarship. He is in Seville, Spain for his internship semester. And Bachelor student Pascal Hecker is spending a semester abroad at the University of Portsmouth in the UK. Pascal is supported by PROMOS.
