Für ihre Dokumentation “Socorro – Above and below” erhielten Merz Akademie-Absolvent Florian Fischer, Michael Kugler, Florian Niethammer und Christian Back, die gemeinsam den Tauchblog “Behind the Mask” betreiben, den 1. Preis im internationalen Wettbewerb des ART&TUR  – International Tourism Film Festivals in der Kategorie “Adventure, Expeditions and Travelling”.

Die Dokumentation besteht aus einer ganzen Serie von Kurzfilmen über das mexikanische Archipel, der vor allem als Lebensraum von Mantarochen bekannt ist. Alle Filme kann man sich unter http://behind-the-mask.com/ ansehen.
