2026 German Film Award: Nomination for graduate Mona Mohr in the “Best Visual Effects” category

The film “Woodwalkers 2” received a Lola nomination in the Best Visual Effects category. The VFX supervisors were Merz Akademie graduate Mona Mohr and Max Riess from Pixomondo. Their work stood out against stiff competition, earning them recognition for their visual achievements.

Creating these wonderful, lifelike animals that look so realistic was a huge challenge for us, but it was also a great honor to pull it off. We have one of the best teams in Germany here at Pixomondo.

Even though the Lolas in this category went to others, the nomination underscores the quality and strength of the VFX supervisors!
