Master student Domenik Gebhardt awarded with Schubart cultural prize

Domenik Gebhardt was honored for his visual essay “In Search of the Ideal Landscape”, this was his bachelor thesis at the Merz Akademie. Domenik describes his work:

A visual essay with echoes of a travel diary that sets off from Stuttgart to Siena in Tuscany in search of what the term ideal landscape deserves. It is about spatial landscape change during the journey and the change of landscape caused by the currently predominant use.

The Schubart Cultural Awards are donated by the Bürgerstiftung Geislingen. The aim is to promote young local artists and to offer them a platform. Every year, the prize honors two young artists of all disciplines from the Geislingen region.
