Superkraut Festival at Stadtpalais Stuttgart – Impressions

The Merz Akademie was present at the Superkraut Festival of the Stadtpalais Stuttgart with a screen printing station.

At the Superkraut Festival from September 15 to 24, 2023, everything revolves around the “superfood” kale. At the Superkraut Food Session on Saturday, September 16, 2023, Prof. Florian Bayer and our lecturer and screen printing master Lars Lenhardt were there: Bring your own shirt and print your own shirts, was the call, in cooperation with eyd clothing. Lars supported the visitors in squeegeeing with the Superkraut motifs of our students. The Superkraut Festival was initiated by the artist Tim Bengel.

In addition to our screen-printing station, visitors could compete in a cabbage slicing contest or take part in the plant-based cooking show with chef and foodie influencer Diana Scholl. Sabine Weick, coordinator of climate-friendly nutrition at the Stuttgart Climate Protection Office, Steffen Lindenmaier, manager of sustainability/corporate sustainability at VfB Stuttgart, and an organic farmer from the Filder region talked about “How will we live and eat in the future? In the evening, Martha van Straaten transformed the Stadtpalais foyer into a Techno dance floor.
