Real commission for Motel One
In direct collaboration with Into Branding Munich and the international Motel One Group, students at Merz Academy Stuttgart are working on an authentic design commission: from briefing analysis and concept development to customer presentation, they are creating interactive coloring sheets for young hotel guests worldwide. The students are learning about professional workflows – including corporate design specifications, feedback loops, and final presentations to the client. Under the motto “The Crazy Hotel,” they are designing A4 illustrations that playfully showcase the connecting number 1 of Motel One and The Cloud One. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 will find coloring motifs combined with puzzles and search games on the templates. Selected works are actually used internationally – the first practical successes alongside the semester assignment.
