How can we teach sex education without taboos and clichés? In our semester project, we developed new visual strategies. Instead of embarrassing biology class drawings, we relied on illustrations—factual and humorous. Everyone was assigned two letters and developed terms and images, ranging from playful to informative. The goal: to promote self-determination, respect, and equality, especially for 13-year-olds.
In collaboration with Prof. Florian Bayer, Saskia Nakari, and the Stuttgart City Media Center, we created well-thought-out posters and infographics. Our alphabet shows that sexuality is nothing to be ashamed of.
