Time plays an important role in the moment of waiting. We are “uncontrollably” exposed to time, so that it exerts an immense power on us. Historically, man has never had as much free time as he does today. However, time is a scarce commodity, despite increasing free time. Waiting means deceleration. With my work, the card game “Waiting”, we become particularly aware of the inner conflict about the use of our own time, which is justified by social developments towards more acceleration.
